Manners

Manners, Manners, Manners.

Introduction:

Hello there, I am Elliott, a Year 6 boy from New Zealand. I think that manners are very important, which they are. On this page, you will learn more about manners, and part of what they are. Hopefully this will teach you something that you may like to improve on and enjoy using.

Types of Manners:

There are so many manners, probably more than you think! Such as, eating manners, p's and q's, playing manners, and more will be explained, if you read on and enjoy!

General Manners (mostly about p's & q's)

Do you or your kids suffer from lack on politeness? I mean like please, thank you, you 're welcome and so on.
This is a vital thing to do. If someone gives you something, what do you say? "Thank you." If the other person is polite also, they will say, "you're welcome."
If you want something, what do you say? "Please may I," or, "Will you please."
But, sometimes, people do say these things, but what is bad is, how they say it. People might just mutter a thanks, or say, "can you please instead." It is extremely important to say it nicely.

Eating:

Don't you think it sounds horrible when someone is chewing with their mouth open, or showing their food in their mouth, chewed up and mushy? I loathe it! It is very good to eat with your mouth closed. It's a horrible sound and look. I would try starting not to do it if you're over five years old. It's okay for younger kids because it's harder to teach them. If you're a mum, I can guarantee you know what I mean.
